Description
The Landseer originated in Germany and Switzerland. In the USA the Landseer is considered a black and white version of the Newfoundland and not recognized by the AKC separately. The Landseer in Europe has longer legs, and is not as massive as Newfoundlands. The Landseer has a thick lush double coat and while they do have black markings, their legs, belly and chest should be white with a white muzzle and white symmetrical blaze on their head. The average life expectancy of this breed is under 10 years old. Their paws are webbed making them good swimmers and they have been used by fisherman to tow nets back to shore. Their Dewclaws should be removed on the hind legs. The tail should hang down. The dog in the famous childrens story Peter Pan was originally a Landseer, since that time; however, it has been changed to a Saint Bernard or Great Pyrenees.
Our Pen Sets are perfect for anyones desk. Each pen set comes with a walnut finished base, measuring 4.25" x 6" x .5" thick, a gold tone pen holder, a gold tone (blue) ink pen, and a 4"-5" figurine.
Pen sets are shipped without the figurine glued in place. This eliminates breakage and allows the figurine to be positioned at the angle you prefer. If you wish to glue, any 2 part epoxy or silicon glue (Goop) works fine.
Perfect for a gift or to display at your store, these are available in any of our standard figurines including dogs, cats, or animals!
